Nature Walk

The other day I headed over to the Wertheim National Wildlife Refuge in Shirley. I wanted someplace where I could sit in my car and see something. With the leaves off the trees it was possible to see a little of the Carmans River in this painting. Yes, some walkers actually came by so I sketched them quickly before they disappeared behind the trees. This is 5  x7.

  1. Another delightful snow scene! Wish it would snow here, all we get is dull, grey rain-soaked weather day after day. Nice work Joan!

  3. Terrific snow painting! There is nothing like actually painting a scene from life, it still must get cold in your car. My compliments Joan!

  5. Kevin - Thanks. The snow does give me something besides all the brown in the landscape.

Hilda - Thank you. I'm lucky to find spots to sit in the car.

Celia - I dress warm and make sure I paint fairly quickly. Thanks!

    Sherry - Thanks so much!
