I had time to join the NYC Urban Sketchers Zoom group yesterday morning. They were virtually sketching hot air balloon festivals and events. I am not brave enough to take a ride up in a hot air balloon. I don't like heights but do OK if I have a wall or a railing nearby...I'm not sure a basket would give me enough security. While looking through the images I found these cute hot air balloons that were part of the Great Reno Balloon Race.

DeleteGreat sketch and cute balloons. I’m pretty sure we saw those two a few years ago in Albuquerque. It is fun to go to and be up close and personal with the balloons. And, no, I did not ride in one! We could go right down and be there when they went up. Don’t know if you can do that anymore.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen any up close and I'm sure it would be great to be there. I'm sure they are more restrictive than they were. There was a hot air balloon festival in NJ last weekend.
