I did catch up and do two direct watercolor paintings today. This first one is of the front of an Italian specialty market here. I sat in my car to paint it since the parking lot is super busy. I backed into the space so I could see this view.
Today was a pretty overcast day. I went down by the bay in Sayville to paint by the water.
What a fabulous job on the first piece! I can't believe you didn't draw in the words on the awning and all the rest of the painting- Wow!. Glad you managed to 'catch up'. Have a great weekend Joan.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Val. Doing words is hard because you have to do the letters as negative painting. I did cheat and use a bit of white gouache where I lost part of the letters. Usually I just use a white gel pen for lettering.
