Sayville Waterfront

After all those portraits I needed to get back to my comfort zone. It was a foggy, nasty day so I sat in my car to paint down by the water in Sayville.
This is about 4 x 6.

  1. A house by the sea has always been my dream. This is just lovely, Joan. I wish I had your energy to get out (or get up) and sketch every day. You and your work are always such an inspiration!

How are you liking not having to go to the library to get on the internet?

  2. Dear Joan - you always find the loveliest places to sketch. I certainly enjoy your landscapes. Have a great week.

  3. Thanks Sherry. The hurricane made me realize I don't want to live by the water. I'm enjoying the computer at home.

    Debbie - Thanks so much!

  4. From this beautiful painting, you'd never know you were in the car on an ugly day -- you rendered this with such beauty and sunshine, you'd think it was a glorious day outside!
