Last week I went out to East Hampton to paint. We went to Mulford Farm which is a historic farm with a few houses and barns. I didn't find the barns too interesting but I loved this door on one of the houses. This is 8 x 10.
Dear Joan - love your subject - there is something wonderful about a closed door - makes you wonder what is behind it. Great painting - thanks for sharing. Have a great week.
AFABULOUSLY done door, Joan!! You really did a great job showing the white of the door!!! LOVE the flowers below this as well !!! GREAT JOB, as always!
This is beautiful, Joan. I can imagine this yard as well...a joyful place to sit and relax when not too hot and humid. Not that I'd know about that. That is all we've had since March.
Great job on the door painting Joan. The foliage beautifully balances out and accentuates the paleness of the other areas. White areas are so tricky to get right without going too far and losing the effect. Nicely done.
Very nice Joan. I love little, intimate vignettes like this, great job!

ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful painting, Joan! I love the colorful flowers in front of the white door and building.
