Colorful Buildings

On WetCanvas Virgil Carter is doing a class called, "Painting Buildings in the Landscape Loosely and Colorfully." I joined the class. His paintings are gorgeous...filled with really vibrant color. This pales in comparison to the color he uses, but I'm happy with it. This was my homework for the class, from one of the references he supplied. This is 8 x 10.

  1. So lucky that you get to take a class with Virgil Carter! How fun! I love your painting, the orange really sings with the yellow and love that you have it in other places on the painting. :) Thanks for posting, you make my day!

  4. Joan - this is absolutely spell- binding! What an awesome, awesome work!!! I just cannot get to class on line -- I'm taking a class now here in NC (took a week of vacation to do so) -- and am juggling a bit of grant writing too -- I miss Virgil's class - but I pop in to see the work and read his tutorial --- you've done one outstanding work!!
