Zentangle

The South Bay Art Association had their general meeting last week and we all worked on zentangles. We did them a few years ago and I enjoyed doing them, but probably haven't done more than one since then. Here was what I worked on this time.

Inktober - Day 13 and a Zentangle

Today I headed out to the north fork of Long Island to sketch and stop at the farmstands while there is still produce available. Wowak Farms in Laurel is one of my favorite places to stop and their stall is out front of the farm right along the main road. I sat across the road in my car because the road is so busy. I've sketched it before and always buy some of their fresh veggies. Today I got broccoli, tomatoes and corn. Yum!

A week or two ago I went to another zentangle class given by an accredited Zentangle teacher. This time the instructor showed us how to shade the design to make it more three-dimensional. I swore I was going to do some more of them, but haven't done any others since. :(

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day!!!
Here's a zentangle heart I created today.

And a gelli print I did for Valentine's Day.

And a Valentine's Day still life I did last Wednesday with my sketch group.

I hope your Valentine's Day is or was great!

#inktober, #inktober2015 - Day 31 & a Zentangle

Today I did my last Inktober sketch for 2015 up on the north fork of Long Island where there are many farm stands and tractors.

My art group had a entangle workshop this week. I could have used this for an Inktober sketch but I didn't. The zentangle was fun to do. You could have heard a pin drop as everyone worked on their piece. My thanks to Pauline Hazard for the workshop.

Here is the group with everyone holding their creations.
