View from Islip Beach

 We are lucky to have so many nice water views over the Great South Bay. This was sketched from one of the town beaches in Islip that are on the mainland. This is one of the bridges that crosses the bay to Robert Moses Park which is on Fire Island.

Robert Moses Bridge

There is a great view of the Robert Moses Bridge from one of the parking lots at Captree State Park. 

You can sometimes see the fishing boats out in the bay from that spot too. It is a great place to go for some peace and quiet. It was a sunny, somewhat warm day and I just pulled my chair out of the trunk and sat near it while I painted.

 I am still doing sketches in the Arteza sketchbook for the SBAA Sketchbook Project. This is the Robert Moses Bridge as seen from Captree State Park. This bridge links the Robert Moses Causeway to Robert Moses State Park.
