Bay Shore Deli

I was down by the ferries in Bay Shore one day and found this deli near the dock. I loved the colors and the building. I was attracted to this location after seeing a post by Shari Blaukauf about how she likes painting buildings on corners, so you can see two sides of the building. This deli serves Mexican food, so I'll have to go in the next time I'm down there.

  1. You are so blessed to live so near the sea. I feel it even when i can't see it. Love those clouds, Joan! And boy, what a cute little place!

    1. Thanks, Sherry! I don't think I could live far from the sea...maybe I'm part fish.

  2. What a cool sketch Joan filled with great detail. Looks like it had some sunshine hitting the building too because of the shadows. Wonderful friend. Hugs!

  3. What great detail you managed with this piece Joan - a bit of everything right down to the fire hydrant. You obviously like to explore your area and it is so nice that you can share with these scenes with those of us who live far away and are not likely to ever see them in person. Thanks so much!

    1. Val, thanks! Some of the places I paint I've visited many times, but one time I'll notice something I missed before. Thanks for your comment.
