On Wednesday the Patchogue Sketch Club made a return visit to Roast Coffee & Tea Trading Company in Patchogue for our sketch outing. It was just too cold to sketch outdoors even though it was almost Spring. I looked hard to find a view that I hadn't already sketched. Luckily it was still light enough outside for a view out the window and down the street...and this guy sat and posed so nicely.
Hi Joan, I have just been enjoying all the posts from your workshop in Myrtle Beach with your sister. What a wonderful trip for you to do together. I hadn't realised that your sister painted too - she is also very talented! All your photos as well as your paintings looked fantastic!! Love the work you've done since your return too!
ReplyDeleteThat was a pretty fall of snow you just had but I'm sure you are well and truly looking forward to spring weather now. Tonight I had to put long sleeves on - can't remember when I last had to do that! I'm enjoying the chill in the air!
This sketch really made me smile. Not sure if it is the look on his face or just him alone. Anyway. I like Wendy's comment, too. We are going from short sleeves to long sleeves daily for a while. Soon, too soon, back to the hot, hot weather.
ReplyDeleteLove the backwards letters and his shirt! Great piece, Joan!
ReplyDeleteGreat sketch!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Wendy. Part of the fun of doing the workshop is getting to spend some time with my sister. I am hoping that this last snowstorm is the last for the season...I have my fingers crossed.
ReplyDeleteJo, thanks. The weather bounces around so much lately.
Sherr, thanks for noticing!
Hilda, thank you.
