On Saturday the NYC Urban Sketchers were meeting in Brooklyn at the Brooklyn Flea Market. Let me just say that I do NOT know my way around Brooklyn since as a kid growing up in Queens we weren't allowed to go to Brooklyn. lol The ride from here to Brooklyn takes at least an hour and I wasn't sure what the parking would be like near the flea market, so I decided to take the Long Island Railroad which isn't any quicker, but at least I could sketch during the ride.
A few models graciously sat near me on the train so I sketched them.
This young girl was one of them. I think she was trying to figure out why I kept looking at her.

A little while later she fell asleep against her mother.
This guy was sitting right behind her.
I had to switch trains at Jamaica and had a few minutes to sketch someone on the train platform.
to be continued...
