Snowy End

Yesterday we had a bit of snow followed by about an inch of slushy precipitation. There were just little bits of it left around this morning so I decided to see if I could find a local spot where I could sketch it. This was the best spot I could find in Sayville, down a dead end street by the Great South Bay where the snow had been plowed up against the guardrail. lol

  1. Joan what a great capture of the slushy snow. You can just feel the cold and wet in this sketch. The grays of winter never looked any better. Hope you are warming up again. Hugs!

  2. I agree with Debbie's comments -- you really captured the steely, wet cold and the clumps of old snow. I've been seeing so much of it here that it looks very real to me!

    1. Tina, thanks. I'm glad I got the seal of approval from the west coast snow expert. lol Is it starting to melt yet?

  4. It sounds like you are one of the lucky ones with so little snow - we have about 2 feet - lol. This is a lovely sketch which is one of the nice things about snow - it makes good art!

    1. Yes, it does make good art. I always get excited when it snows and that lasts for about a day until it is just so inconvenient. lol Thanks.
