Today was not only cold but windy and cloudy, so nobody wanted to do any sketching outside today.
We did take a drive down to Ocean Point in Boothbay Harbor. It is a beautiful spot with views
of the rocks, the water, the cottages, and a sailboat or two. I didn't get out of the car to take any photos and we did all our sketching/painting from the warm car. I parked in two different locations.
Ocean Point I
Ocean Point II
It's been a long time since I commented here Joan, sorry for the absence. These are great little sketches, I especially like the first one.
ReplyDeleteLove these! You must have gotten great parking spaces -- these look like you are standing right on the shoreline.
ReplyDeleteThanks, David! It is good to see you back again.
ReplyDeleteTina - I was parked as close to the edge of the road without having my car in the water. lol Thanks.
I love the second one. Love the blue house. but both are lovely.
ReplyDeleteBoth pieces are beautiful and typify why I've always wanted to live in Maine.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sketches Joan, I love the Maine coastline!
ReplyDeleteI love both of these paintings, Joan...Wonderful work!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Chris, Sherry, Celia and Hilda.
ReplyDeleteJoan - these are absolutely the best - I always enjoy seeing your scenes along the coast. The orange colors in the top painting really pop and I think the portrait composition in the bottom one is super. Have a great week and as always thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYour Maine sketches are super! Thanks for sharing your "car studio" with me. I had a lot of fun on our trip.
