Before leaving for California I painted this view of the red barn and garden at the Frank Melville Park in Setauket. This is 8 x 10

  6. This feels so serene! It was a fun peek at your travel journal, Joan! You always manage to get color on your sketches, even when you probably had very little time!

  9. I just LOVE how you do these views, Joan -- you have an awesome way of simplifying the most complex subjects into charming, exquisite beauty! BRAVA!! I LOVE the patio above as well !!! GRAND JOB ON ALL!

  10. This is amazing, Joan! I enjoyed my little trip through your recent paintings. What a beautiful bride and groom, too! I also have to sketch at airports. I did one in Tulsa and the plane on the tarmac rolled away while I was trying to capture the details. I was giggling and sketching as fast as I could. :)
