Olish's Farm

On Mother's Day I thought it would be a good day to go out and capture some of the floral baskets that were on display in the local nurseries. I headed over to Olish's Farm in Eastport and was not disappointed. There were all kinds of baskets and potted plants for sale as well as numerous other decorative elements. 

 

The Farm on Lakeland

It is the season for The Farm on Lakeland in Sayville to be open for business. Right now they have lots of hanging baskets and flowers in bloom. I sat along the side street to paint this for the 30 x 30 Direct Watercolor Challenge 2025. 

Direct Watercolor #21

 Painting #21 for the 30 x 30 Direct Watercolor Challenge was done at the Peconic Herb Farm in Peconic. I liked that I could see a reflection of the hanging baskets in the window panes.

Hanging Basket

Lately I have had a few minutes to sit on my patio when things are quiet here. So when my SIL was here the other day she agreed to stay with Jerry while I went out shopping. I bought two hanging baskets to add a little color out there. The view otherwise is green, green, green, with a few tree trunks added in. I did this directly in watercolor so I could add it as my Day 8 painting for #30x30DirectWatercolor.
