Cremosa Market

Our day of sketching in Westbury (see yesterday's post) had me cross the street and sit in front of Friar's Tavern for a view of Cremosa Market. Suzala was standing there at her easel painting the building on the opposite corner so of course I included her. It worked well together as a subject.

Dean's Seafood

Places like Dean's Seafood in Bay Shore are fun to sketch. I love quirky buildings and all the stuff around to include...or leave out.

St James Building

This building is in St James right near the railroad station. I think it is an insurance office. It was a little different but that strange overhang was a problem getting the perspective right. The cellar door is on the wrong angle too! Maybe the vibrations of the trains affected the building. lol
