Vanderzalm Greenhouse Christmas Trees

Today I was in the Bellport area doing a bit of Christmas shopping. I stopped by the Vanderzalm Greenhouses just to check if they had anything Christmasy to sketch. They did! There was a small display of Christmas trees out in front. I didn't go inside to check out what else they had. I probably should have.

Vanderzalm Greenhouses

My plein air painting group has been going out on Tuesday mornings since May. I painted this at the Vanderzalm Greenhouses in Bellport. I started it on site, but didn't have enough time to finish it there. We had a stretch of rainy days so I decided I should work on some of my unfinished pieces like this one while I was indoors.

At the Pump

My plein air group met the other day at VanderZalm Greenhouses in Bellport. It was drizzling so I had to find a view to paint indoors. This pump and the geraniums caught my eye, but the aisles there are so narrow. I used my tripod easel but couldn't stretch the legs out even halfway. It balanced anyway. :) This is 8 x 10.

Vanderzalm Greenhouse

My PALS plein air group met yesterday to paint. Luckily Jean Salucci picked a spot that offered indoor painting, because it was pouring outside. Vanderzalm Greenhouses in Bellport had a number of colorful buildings to paint in. This was my favorite. This painting is 8 x 10.
