Inktober Day 10

I've been able to keep up with the prompt from Koosje Koene so far. The prompt for day 10 was "draw with sticks and twigs." I have a small collection of twigs to use, a stirrer from my coffee this morning and a small bottle of Noodler's Lexington Grey Ink and I was set. I stopped at the Bayard Cutting Arboretum in Great River and sketched one of the paths down near the water. It is definitely a loose way of sketching. It is hard to control the amount of ink the twig releases.

  1. Joan what a great exercise. You did wonderful with your twigs. I caught a video on making stamps out of cardboard last evening and using them to make prints. She used acrylic paint but bet ink would be good too. Your painting made me think of it. Well glad to read you were enjoying the beach. The weather here is warm 70's but 30's are on their way. Enjoy your day. Hugs!

    1. Debbie, thanks. Glad this reminded you of materials you could use. It was warm enough to be a beach day today but when I got there it started to rain for a while. Of course when I left the sun came out again. lol Typical! Enjoy!
