Like the painting posted yesterday, this painting was started on site but finished at home. My plein air group went to one of my favorite places, the Peconic River Herb Farm in Calverton. There are so many wonderful places on the property to use as painting locations like this one. I'm not sure what is inside that yellow door, but I thought the whole thing looked interesting. I know that to the left there is a entrance to a storage area which I've never been in (yet) where there seem to be planters and lots of hidden gems.
I'm really happy with the way this painting came out. What do you think?
I love it! The angled shadow from the awning makes a great composition!
ReplyDeleteThanks. That shadow drew me in.
DeleteJoan this is just such a perfect art piece Your eye for details is amazing. Even the shadows on the roof is done so well. Your perspective and lights and darks make me fee as if I am standing right in your spot. Wonderful friend. Hope you are staying cool and have a lovely 4th of July. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteDebbie, thanks so much for your kind words. You are such a good cheerleader. Enjoy the 4th of July!!
