The Patchogue Sketch Club met recently at the library. Our theme was abstract which didn't tempt me in the least. Instead I sketched a family that was at a table nearby playing cards. I was amazed that they stayed as long as they did.
I was in Blue Point and stopped to sketch Flo's, which I've sketched many times. It hadn't opened for the season yet, but there was a big sign in front advertising opening day which I think was April 12th. Since I've sketched it so many time it was odd to do it while it was closed with no people around. I was able to include their sign at the end of this side of the building. I missed the season opening too.
Joan the family sketch at the library was great. It was truly good they stayed long enough for you to capture them. Flo's luncheonette looks like a great place to eat once it opens up again. Hope you had a nice Easter - Hugs!
