Irises

Last week I went out to paint irises at Gillette Park in Sayville. Like all the other flowers at this time of year they are relatively short lived. Best to get them while they are here.

    Lovely piece Joan. There are so many types of Irises nowadays and they are a joy to paint. I am still waiting for mine to bloom - sigh!

    Beautiful, Joan! My mom always called this type of iris, flags. Love it and brings memories of the good old days. Smiling.
