At our portrait group this week, Sally posed for us. I did one painting that I worked on for about 1 1/2 hrs.
And one that I worked on for about 15 minutes. The paper was having a hard time drying.
This weekend was our 7th Annual PALS Plein Air Show and Sale. It went really well. Several framed paintings on the walls sold (one of mine...yay!), as well as some matted original paintings, books, tiles, ornaments, prints and notecards. There were about 75 framed paintings from our many, many, plein air locations. Here are a few photos from the show.
Here I am with my painting done at Andrews Farm. This one sold.
Here is our group shot.
This is such a great, fun group to go out painting with each week. My thanks to Jeanne Salucci for organizing our locations each week and to all the other members for their friendship and support.
Congratulations Joan on selling your painting. It's beautiful and I can see why it sold!!! The exhibit looks wonderful. Is the show still going on? What a display!!!
ReplyDeleteDear Joan so wonderful to see you with your lovely painting. I can see why it sold. Looks like a great event as well as an awesome group of artists. So happy you shared. Have a delightful week. More colder air is on its way I am hearing. Stay warm and safe. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteHilda, thanks. We only do the show for two frantic days. lol
ReplyDeleteDebbie, thanks so much. The show was a lot of fun. It was damp and nasty out today. Tomorrow I'll be in the city and they are forecasting cold weather.
Congratulations Joan. It looks like it was a wonderful show and there are so many lovely paintings in the display. You have a very talented group. Between your portrait work and your other paintings you have an eclectic array of styles so it is always interesting to see what you do. thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Val!!! I appreciate your visits and comments.
