My last sketch at the Planting Fields Arboretum in Oyster Bay was done of a line of trees going off into the distance. I liked the shadows they were making. This was done with a brush pen that if I touched the ink quickly it would shade a little.
Please hop over to "Alicia's Aquarium Journal" my journal for International Fake Journal Month.
Lovely atmosphere created. Thanks for the reminder to work in pen.
ReplyDeleteI like the Tree Line and think the black suits it very well. I have done a few pieces this way with ink and brush and it is always a challenge to get the brush going before the ink dries - well done, Joan!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Laura. It was fun to work just in ink for a change.
ReplyDeleteVal, thanks so much. It was a small piece and I worked pretty quickly on this.
Beautiful.
