Happy 4th of July

Happy 4th of July!!!

This painting was done at the Peconic River Herb Farm on Tuesday. Every time I go there I have a hard time choosing between the different displays and arrangements of plants, flowers, and objects. It is funny what attracted me were the hydrangeas and the metal flags in the crate. I was able to get both them in the same painting! This is 8 x 10.

Did you notice I changed the color of the blog?

  1. Happy 4th to you, too! What a festive sketch. We ended up staying home instead of going out for fireworks. It always sounds fun, but when we thought about looking for parking and fighting traffic to get home, it seemed like too much work! ;-) I LOVE your blog's new color!

  4. Great new color on your blog....makes me smile! Love the sketch. Sometimes I think 8x10 is just right for the time you have and enough space to do the subject justice.

  5. Thanks, Tina. I feel the same way about going out to see fireworks...not quite worth the hassle.

    Laura, thanks so much.

    Micheal, thanks. Same to you!

Michele, thanks. Purple is one of my favorite colors.
