My plein air group has gone several times to Avalon Park in Stony Brook. I usually avoid the lake itself and focus on the mill house there, but this time I decided to tackle the lake and some of the birds that are always around there. This is 8 x 10.
Okay Joan so I love your work! This piece has to be my favorite of all my favorites! This is so magical! So well done skill wise and as a grand work of art! Breathtaking! I so look forward to your daily works. Still amazed how prolific you are! Thanks for sharing your art Joan!
ReplyDeleteBravo buddy!
Michael
Joan, I agree with Michael, you get so much done! I love them all, especially the people in places. Hmmm, landscapes with figures. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is such an idyllic scene and so beautifully painted! Very restful on the eye. I also love your wisteria from the previous post. You really are amazing Joan!
ReplyDeleteMichael, thank you so much. I always appreciate your kind words.
ReplyDeleteJo - LOL I get artwork done, but not much housework. Good thing Jerry doesn't mind. Thanks.
Wendy = Thank you!
Joan, this is just beautiful! Is all your work in sketchbooks? (I can't remember!) You just turn up so many pieces begging to be framed! This is another and I love it! Thank you for the idea on enlarging my grids. I'm not sure my anal tendencies will allow that! LOL
ReplyDeleteSherry - Thank you. Most of my work is not in sketchbooks but are on standard sized papers that can be framed easily.
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely. Your work is so peaceful. Today my neighbor and I did a spring garden tour and one had a lovely large pond with water running. Something peaceful about water. :)
ReplyDeleteThis one is really pretty. I love the swan and the geese.
ReplyDeleteThanks Chris. A few of the gardens on this tour I'm doing have water features and that is always fun.
ReplyDeleteMickey - Thanks!
