Skyline Views from Jersey City

On Saturday the NYC Urban Sketchers headed across the river to Jersey City to sketch the views back to Manhattan. It was a mostly overcast day, and the park along the river was fairly empty. I was attracted to this scene first with the pigeon sitting on the railing...of course he was gone in a few seconds but I sketched him quickly. The skyline isn't easy to do. I get lost in the buildings.

  1. Great city views, Joan! I agree -- skylines are really challenging!

  2. Wow! I’m so lucky to see NY through your sketches. Just lovely. Thank you!

  3. Dear Joan you did a great job depicting that it was a gray day. Love the pigeon. He adds to the charm of this sketch. Hope you are having a great week. Hugs!

  4. Thanks, Tina. I can never tell which building I'm sketching. lol

Jo, its a good way to visit. Thanks.

    Sheila, thank you.

Debbie, thanks so much. Hope your week has been great.

  5. Love these skylines, Joan! It really feels like I'm right there with you!
