The NYC Urban Sketchers met in the DUMBO area of Brooklyn. DUMBO stand for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass. The meeting spot was Jane's Carousel but my friend, Suzala and I decided we wanted city sketches. We found a spot with a view of the Manhattan Bridge where there was a cluster of rocks and some stone steps...and many, many people. I used artistic license and left out most of the people leaving in enough to get the idea of people sitting and standing to enjoy the spot.

Your paintings are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Linda.
DeleteLovely setting. Sounds like a fun day. I love the crocuses in your previous posts and the other flowers. All our family bunch left today so maybe I will get some sketching and posting done.
ReplyDeleteJo, thanks for stopping by. I know you have been busy with family and that is a good thing.
DeleteSomeday I'd love to sketch at DUMBO! You captured such a great view!
ReplyDeleteTina, thanks. Most of the views there are so great and you can almost get a bridge in each sketch. :)
