I've sketched this view many times from my living room. It doesn't change much from snowstorm to snowstorm, but it is the only view I have on this side of the building. I used my Strathmore Tan Toned Sketchbook for this. In fact it is the last sketch in that notebook. We had about another inch of snow on top of what we already had, but the snow has started melting because it was a lot warmer..even though we were still having light snow. The snow on the railing was melting and slid off before I finished the painting.

This is beautiful. Congrats on finishing a sketchbook, always a good feeling.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jo. It is satisfying to complete one and fun to look back.
DeleteI like the way you show the falling snow... it looks great on the toned paper.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Tina. I like using the toned paper for snow scenes.
DeleteJoan this is absolutely gorgeous. Adore it even though it makes one think of cold weather. Glad to hear you are seeing some of the snow melting. Those of us who live where winter has been challenging this year am certain will be glad for spring flowers. Take care and hope you start to see signs of spring this coming week. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteDebbie, thanks so much. The weather is a bit warmer but very foggy. Hope it looks better down by you. Have a great weekA!
