The Tangram Mall had a lot of delicious-looking restaurants. A few of us ate at one pulled noodle shop but didn't sketch there. I went back upstairs to a restaurant I had seen earlier that had a huge window that opened to the kitchen where you could see them cooking. I didn't have a long time to sketch but I got down some of the basic lines for the people and the kitchen area. I started painting but knew that show-and-tell was starting. I snapped a foto and went downstairs to join everyone else. The rest of the sketch I finished at home.
Here is the group after show-and-tell.

Joan this looks like a fun group to spend time with on a cold winter's day. Adore your sketch. You include such great detail. Glad to know you didn't get quite as much snow and that your electric stayed on - makes us so thankful when we know so many others were without power and heat. Take care friend...I am hoping the cold will move on...we were 16 degrees below zero here this morning. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Debbie. They are a fun group of sketchers from all ages, walks of life, and backgrounds. And they share all kinds of art information. I am hoping it warms up a bit soon. It sounds like you are a bit colder than we are here. Stay warm and safe!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful sketch and fun group. I like going out with groups, not doing it right now. I do it through you. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteWe're happy to have you come along with us this way.
