If you read my post yesterday you know how crowded the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens were the day we visited. This painting was done along the central walkway that goes through the gardens. It was so crowded with people and many of them didn't hesitate to get in front of me (and I was up against a fence) to take a photo. Little kids were everywhere, women were dressing in kimonos to take photos...you get the idea. Nevertheless I persisted. lol This took a lot of time to do. It is hard working with masses of flowers everywhere. I also left out most of the people.
Stop by and visit Tracy over on my fake blog.
So lovely, despite your difficulties! :-) Don't you love it when people stand right in front of you? Happens to me a lot, too! You captured the woman taking a photo exactly right.
ReplyDeletePeople are so rude. lol Thanks.
DeleteI swear you have the most fun at the best places.
ReplyDeleteLOL Thanks, Nelvia.
DeleteDear Joan - you always manage to capture the scene beautifully and to make me feel as if I am right there with you. Lovely job with massing the floral colors together and not getting caught up in the details. You do such a good job with landscapes. Hope you are having a delightful day. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteDebbie, thanks for your sweet comment. It is hard to do flowers just as masses...detail me likes to go overboard. lol Thanks. Have a great day!
DeleteThis is absolutely beautiful Joan! We don't have anything this extensive in Creston but I am going to make a point of visiting the one garden park they do have - once there are some flowers - lol.
ReplyDeleteVal, thanks! We are lucky to have all the gardens and arboretums here to explore...especially at this time of year.
