This is a small painting I did of a butterfly magnolia at the Bayard Cutting Arboretum in Oakdale yesterday. I'm glad I went because I'm sure these delicate flowers wouldn't have lasted much longer.
That is great, you captured the beautiful flower beautifully. When I was in AL, the magnolia near our house was blooming but too high for me to sketch ;-)
Hi Joan,
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty flower. I had no idea the Aboretum was open. I will try to get over there. Love the previous post as well.
Have a great day.
GORGEOUS!
ReplyDeleteI finally got around to changing your blog address on my blog. I'm slow but sure. At least so far.
ReplyDeleteThanks Joan, Lin, & Jeanne. It is always good to have visitors.
ReplyDeleteI like the way you did the background so the light flower pops. Pretty magnolia.
