Cyclamen Plant

For Valentine's Day Jerry bought me a bouquet of flowers and a cyclamen plant. The plant was wrapped in paper with Valentine hearts all over it. I did get to draw the cyclamen plant, but haven't done the bouquet yet.

Anniversary Flowers

For our 26th Anniversary Jerry picked out a bouquet of flowers for me. This was done in a Strathmore Tan Toned Sketchbook. I used watercolors, oil pastels, white gouache and watercolor pencils.

The Bouquet Sketches

A while back a friend of mine sent me a beautiful arrangement of flowers. I didn't want to paint the whole thing so I pulled out a few of the different kinds of flowers to do a sketch.

The bouquet lasted a long time but  finally I had to get rid of some of them that were past their prime. I pulled out the few that looked the best and put them in a small jar. They lasted a few more days but then started to lose their petals. I pulled out my art supplies to do one last sketch.

Bouquet

I had gone grocery shopping to Trader Joe's the other day. It is a small sized grocery store that happens to sell cut flowers that last an exceptionally long time. I picked up two bunches with the idea of painting them, but it took me until this weekend to finally get around to it. This was done with watercolors and watercolor pencils.

Easter Bouquet

This Easter my husband brought me a lovely bouquet of flowers. This time I painted them before they started to droop.
