In Bloom

While on my walk I came across a tree with white flowers.

The forsythia finally bloomed on Long Island. I love when all the bushes turn that wonderful yellow. This was sketched on tan toned paper in Sayville.

Front Garden in Northport

I was in Northport the other day. I usually paint down near the harbor but instead I rode along Bayview Street. There are some wonderful old houses. This one had blooming trees and a wonderful fence. How could I resist. I made a u-turn and sat right behind the trunk of my car so I could get a good view and not block the sidewalk.

Happy Easter

I am slowly going through my local area and sketching the trees in bloom. It is hard to do the white/barely pink ones since it is so hard to define the blossoms. Here is the latest.

Bellport Pink

There are still a few pink trees around if you search. This one in Bellport took me by surprise so I stopped to sketch it. I'm not sure what is in that part of that building. I know that in the back there is a bicycle repair shop.

More Blooming Trees

I love seeing all the trees and plants that are in bloom right now. The contrasts in color make things so great looking. I think this is a weeping cherry tree.
