I've had a bottle of Noodler's Purple Martin Ink for quite a few years and I don't remember the last time I used it. This Day 13 Inktober sketch was done near La Tavola in Sayville using a dip pen...another material I never use.
I like this one! It seems a bit more thoughtful which is something I have found when using a dip pen - my strokes need to be more controlled so my work is not done as quickly, therefore more thoughtful.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Val. You are right about working with the dip pen requires more thought. It is different.
DeleteSo nice to see the range of materials in your possession put to good use with beautiful results! I should be doing that, too.
ReplyDeleteMel, thanks! I tend to get in a rut and do the same thing every time. This has been a bit of a change.
DeleteI like this, too. You inspire me to try something new.
