I'm always looking for views to sketch. I love how the gulls pose on top of the pilings by the dock. This one cooperated and stayed in one spot for a long time. This was done by Mascot Dock in Patchogue.
Joan you always manage to capture the best scenes. The life preserver really makes this painting come alive. We are too cold to sketch outdoors. Today I sat in my "mobile studio" to do a quick sketch of a truck, but I kept the car running. I don't like to do that, but it was just too cold and I figured I would only sketch for a few minutes.
