Tree Line

My last sketch at the Planting Fields Arboretum in Oyster Bay was done of a line of trees going off into the distance. I liked the shadows they were making. This was done with a brush pen that if I touched the ink quickly it would shade a little.

Please hop over to "Alicia's Aquarium Journal" my journal for International Fake Journal Month.

  1. Lovely atmosphere created. Thanks for the reminder to work in pen.

  2. I like the Tree Line and think the black suits it very well. I have done a few pieces this way with ink and brush and it is always a challenge to get the brush going before the ink dries - well done, Joan!

  3. Thanks, Laura. It was fun to work just in ink for a change.

Val, thanks so much. It was a small piece and I worked pretty quickly on this.
